About The Itinerary Room
A more personal way to plan extraordinary journeys.

How it began
An independent advisory, built around travel
The Itinerary Room began with a desire to build something independent, combining the flexibility of running my own business with an interest in travel and discovering new places.
Based in New Zealand and the US, I work with travelers in the United States and internationally to plan personalized journeys across New Zealand, Australia, Asia and beyond.
As a Fora-certified travel advisor, I bring an organized, considered approach to travel planning, supported by the booking infrastructure and supplier network of Fora, a US-based host travel agency.

Philosophy
Good travel is in the details
A memorable trip is about more than choosing a destination and booking a hotel. It’s about getting the balance right: knowing where to spend your time, how to connect different places, when to slow down and which experiences are worth making room for.
That’s what I enjoy about the planning process: taking an initial idea and turning it into a well-considered journey that reflects the people taking it.
Whether it’s a first visit to Japan, a journey through New Zealand’s landscapes, an Australian coastal escape or a multi-country trip through Asia, every itinerary starts with understanding what matters to you. In practice, that comes down to a few principles:
Fewer places, more depth
The most common planning mistake is trying to see too much. Three unhurried nights somewhere usually beat one rushed night in three places.
Honest recommendations
If a famous sight is overcrowded in the month you are traveling, or a route works better in reverse, I’ll say so and explain why.
Logistics that disappear
Good planning is often invisible: sensible connection times, luggage sent ahead, a driver waiting after a long-haul arrival.
Your pace, your style
Some travelers want every morning planned; others want open afternoons. The itinerary follows how you actually like to travel.
Working together
Personal planning, established travel connections
The Itinerary Room combines direct, personal service with the resources of an established travel network.
You deal directly with me throughout the planning process. I take the time to understand your preferences, priorities and budget, develop your itinerary and arrange your travel bookings through Fora.
There are no standard packages or one-size-fits-all itineraries, just thoughtful recommendations and a plan built around you. Working with an advisor is most useful when a trip is complex or important to you:
- Better decisions early. Where to go, in what order and for how long shape everything else. Getting them right matters more than any single booking.
- Less research time. Instead of comparing hundreds of options, you review a considered shortlist with the reasoning explained.
- Fewer avoidable problems. Seasonal weather, public holidays, festival crowds and transfer times are easier to plan around when someone is watching for them.
- One point of contact. One person who knows your whole itinerary, rather than separate conversations with every hotel and operator.
- Fora’s network behind your bookings. Bookings are made through Fora, whose hotel programs can include added amenities at some participating properties. These vary and are confirmed at the time of booking.
The affiliation
Working with Fora
I’m a Fora-certified travel advisor. Fora is a US-based host travel agency that gives independent advisors like me its booking systems, training and supplier relationships, including preferred partnerships with hotels around the world.
What that means for you:
- You Work With Me I design your itinerary, make your bookings and look after your plans from first call to return flight.
- I Facilitate Your Bookings Through Fora, an established US travel agency, so you get its supplier network and, at participating hotels, extra amenities that aren’t available booking direct.
- Each supplier’s own terms apply to the services they provide, whether that’s a hotel, cruise line or tour operator.
The Itinerary Room is not a tour operator, airline, hotel company or travel wholesaler, and does not operate any travel services itself.

Once you are happy, bookings are made through Fora, and I keep your plans organized up to departure.
Fees and payment
Payments for travel services are made according to each supplier’s terms, which I’ll explain clearly before anything is booked.
Where I plan
Based in New Zealand and the US, with an international perspective
New Zealand and the US are home, but the world is the destination. I work with travelers across time zones, helping them discover New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, South Korea and destinations further afield.
Whether you know exactly where you want to go or are looking for inspiration, I’d be delighted to help you start planning.

Let’s make your next trip a good one.
You don’t need a finished itinerary or even a firm destination in mind. Just an idea of where you’d like to go and what you’d like the experience to be.
